  • I co-founded Cross China New Media(Beijing) Co.,Ltd with the other centeral team members in 2015. And the same year we launched the leading equestrian web portal http://www.cchorse.com.

  • Experience
  • Joined CCTV sports department in June 1989 and have since held various positions in sports TV media and sports events organization and operations management. With nearly 24 years of experience in domestic and international sports event operations management and sports events coverage for domestic and world-class events, covered almost all aspects of the sports industry, including sports media, sports events, teaching and research; regarded as the number 1 in overall qualification in the sports industry and the sports media industry.

    One of the founders of CCTV sports channel. Established many ‘firsts’ in the industry:

    Launched the first media scanning program in the sports channel;

    Being the first to introduce the weather forecast in the sports channel;

    The first to introduce sports lottery program in the sports channel;

    The first to launch "Media Scan" type of program within sports programs;

    The first to launch the commercial program "Sports Mall" in CCTV and the media sector with TV shopping and product placement and service elements;

    Produced the first science and education program " Sports Encyclopedia" in the sports channel;

    The first to incorporate live broadcast into sports program during the 1994 Hiroshima Asian Games;

    The first to produce tournament "Gold Medal Board" program;

    The first to launch morning live news program "Good Morning China” in the sports media sector and maintained zero accident record in consecutive 365 programs per year for three years

    In 2005, I took over Central TV Sports with a team of 11 staff members, including sports TV program writers, directors, cameramen, and anchors. After seven years of development, the company has grown into a sports conglomerate with total registered staff of about 580 and eight business centers covering event management, strategic development, brand promotion, program production, industry research, and "The Fifth Channel " magazine. Total revenue increased from RMB28 million to about RMB700 million. I also created a workaholic record of 12-year without vacation!

    Since 2005, I took charge of event organization and management of "Sports Person of the Year" event, one of the top three CCTV awards events for 6 years in a row; co-sponsored the "International Sports TV Forum" with the Asian Media Association for three consecutive years; created "Chinese Martial Arts Professional League and established the first martial arts tournament league with six private clubs; established "CCTV · IMG" Event Management Limited, the first enterprise within CCTV with annual revenue growth of more than RMB100 million for 7 consecutive years ; founded the first comprehensive CCTV Sports magazine "The Fifth Channel "; edited the first "China Sports Industry Development Report" Blue Book since the founding of People’s Republic of China; established the first Sports Industry Research Center in Peking University combining industry, academia, and research functions; published the first study on the relationship between city and sports event; summarized the learnings from the industry practice in order to change the current backward and outdated theoretical system of sports colleges and universities.

    While managing the sports channel operations, in addition to the planning, design, and innovation of a series of product placement model and integrated online/offline events promotion, established a network of event resources, including the super-challenging copyright cooperation with the Soccer Premier League, CBA business promotion, and the business cooperation with the four US Major Leagues. During the seven-year period, we established the cooperation with the State Sports General Administration and social companies for a series of events and laid foundation for cooperation in the area of media, events, market, and city, including "National Volleyball League," "National Table Tennis Super League" "International Diving Champions Tour", "Beijing China Open," "Tsingtao NBA cheerleaders national trials", "National Street Dance Competition," "Chinese Dragon Boat Race", "HSBC Golf Tournament", "National Automobile site cross-country" "BMW Golf Open", "Golf World Cup", "National Equestrian Barrier Race", "National Equestrian Racing", "three-day event" etc.; Established "World Snooker International Championship" and the successfully signed a five-year cooperation contract with Chengdu. During the course of 18 years of experience in the program development and 7 years of experience in sports media and events management, established cooperation with influential international sports association and enterprises, such as WTA, ATP, NBA, NFL, Octagon, Infront Sports & Media and established collaborative relationship with the various centers of State Sports General Administration, China University Sports Association, Peking University, Communication University of China, China Social Sciences Press, and a number of enterprises and advertising companies.

    In October 2014, I left the CCTV and officially joined Sina as General Manager of Sports Division. During the past six months, focused on improving personnel structure adjustment and content product design; completed the infrastructure setup for five professional vertical channels and video production center team buildup; Established integrated online and offline event management center and mobile client end performance indexes, as well as the KPI system to ensure Sales and Marketing team to achieve commercial plan; laid the foundation to compete in the all-media market in 2016.

    On March 17, 2015, I led the team to win the bid for the commercial promotion rights for the Chinese Basketball Association's "China three on three basketball tournaments”! The project is projected to increase the member base of the mobile app by at least DAU125K users in 2016, with up to 1 million user base increase if including voting event and become the leader in the China commercial party in the next five years, an impressive result in the super-competitive mobile app market! Unfortunately the project was given up due to the disagreement among Sina senior management.
